Manor Photography

Manor Photography is a family run business based in Wiltshire, UK.

Our principal photographer (Rob, or Dr Bob to his friends) is an ex-nuclear physicist, PhD qualified professional mathematician and software engineer, so you can be sure the technical side of photography is well understood! After taking a severence package from a leading telecoms company in 2008, Rob decided to channel all of his intellect and energy into his hobby and passion of the last 20 years and Manor Photography was formed.

Rob lives with his wife and two children in a 16th Century Manor House. His modest studio is located above the old stable block overlooking the courtyard and servants' quarters of the historic grade II(*) listed building.

Being one of the first photographers to adopt digital technology and exclusively use a digital SLR camera from 2003 onwards ("What's that?" was the most common question asked by fellow photographers), it's no surprise that Manor Photography now uses a professional 21Mp camera. But how does this technology benefit you, the customer? It goes without saying that 21Mp means the amount of detail in your photographs is stunning. Dual memory card slots mean that two copies of each and every shot are made at the time of exposure ensuring an almost 100% guarantee against images lost due to memory card failure. Within hours of any shoot, your images are downloaded to a mirrored hard disk with backup RAID array followed by off-site archiving guaranteed for at least 25 years.

As for the artistic and aesthetic side, ask Rob to tell you about his various photographic awards, trophies and certificates! You may need to have a spare hour or two ...
